STROUP, Robert Ray “Happy New Year Bob”, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011. He was born in Tampa, FL and served in the United States Navy. Bob owned and operated the Dad and Lad Paint and Body Shop in Land O’ Lakes. He loved animals and was a member of DVG and Gulfcoast Schutzhund Dog Training Clubs. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Charlie and Danny. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Vicki; son, Adam Stroup of Land O’ Lakes, and his fiancée, Jessica Fernandez of Tampa; son, Robert R. Stroup, Jr.; daughter, Ginny Glass; brother, Joe Stroup and his wife Marilyn of Lutz; brother-in-law, Bobby Hill and his wife, Mary Jo of Lutz and sister-in-law, Debbie Rummel and her husband, Lou of Spring Hill; and several nieces and nephews. He was a man who started with so little and fought through all of life’s struggles to become a devoted and loving husband and father at life’s end. A celebration of Bob's life will be at 2 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Loyless Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
