Rodney Lee Skiver, Albuquerque, New Mexico resident, age 63, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2017.    He was a son of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ.    He is survived by his mother, Mildred B. Weddle and two beautiful daughters, Monica Banghart and Danielle Gipson, two sons-in-law, Jeremy and Mike, and six grandchildren, Sabrina, Jerry, Skyler, Gabrielle, Angelica and Riley.    Rod served this great country in the Marines and then the Army. He served meritoriously for 14 years and received numerous commendations. Rod worked for the New Mexico Department of Health in IT for 21 years, and began serving on the board of the San Antonio Condominiums Home Owners Association shortly after arriving in 2003.    Scuba diving was his hobby and preferred use of vacation time every year. He was a Master Diver, just beginning in the world of underwater photography.    Rod had a very loving heart. His two daughters and grandkids put a smile on his face. It was rare to get a good picture of him, but guaranteed he would be smiling if he was playing with his grandchildren. He was a man of few words, but what he lacked in expression he made up for in action. Rod was always willing to help people out. Although Rod liked to put on a rough exterior, everybody saw right through that and could see the teddy bear inside.    You will be a dearly missed son, Daddy, Papa and friend.    The Memorial Service will be on July 12th, 10AM  At Legacy Church-East Campus  4701 Wyoming Blvd Albuquerque, NM 87109   Â
