Roy Anthony Montoya, a retired and life-long resident of Tucson, AZ, passed away unexpectedly on November 26 at the age of 63 in his home. Roy is survived by his father and step-mother, Alfred and Barbara Montoya; his wife, Teresa Montoya; his children, Michael Montoya, Kyle Montoya, Kimberly Montoya, Amy (Dave) Montoya Nettles, and Melanie Montoya. He is predeceased by his brothers, Raymond Draves, Richard (Stacy) Draves, Roger (Evy) Montoya, and Robert (Elaine) Draves. Roy was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He cared and loved so intensely and he made sure anyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him knew it. He was incredibly passionate about gunsmithing and collecting, had so much respect and love for fallen heroes, as well as everyone who serves to protect our country. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on December 9th at the Desert Sunset Funeral Home on 3081 W Orange Grove to celebrate the life of Roy and share stories.
