Mrs. Sarah Siegel, age 99, of Gloversville N.Y., died Friday at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center in Albany N.Y. Mrs. Siegel was born March 22, 1915 in Gloversville, the daughter of Mary and Sam Madora. She graduated Gloversville High School, was a supervisor at Speare Glove Company, held various positions with Hadassah, and lived her entire life in Gloversville. Mrs. Siegel is survived by her three sons, Alan Siegel of Albany and Howard and Fred Siegel of New York City; two grandchildren, Steven and Marla Siegel of New York City. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Siegel, her two sisters Bailey Harris and Ann Isaacson, and two brothers, Harry and Sam Starr. There will be a graveside funeral service held at 11 am Monday May 12, 2014 at Knesseth Israel Cemetery in Gloversville with Sol Wise officiating. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Knesseth Israel Synagogue, 34 East Fulton Street, Gloversville, N.Y. 12078. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
