Secundina "Nena" Rodriguez Lopez

Secundina (Nena) Rodriguez Lopez age 99, native of Ybor City, Tampa, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 in her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alberto Lopez; and her brothers and sister, Romero Rodriguez, Mary Mendez, Nick Rodriguez, Regino Rodriguez, and her grandson Charlie Mandese. She is survived by her sister Carmen Almerico; her daughters, Gloria Mandese (Charles) and Sylvia Vanacore (Michael Joe); grandchildren, Lyssa Marquez (Carlos), Jovanna Nogues (Kevin) and Michael A. Vanacore; great grandchildren Jovanna Marquez, Odelkys Marquez, Gabriella Marquez, Luke Nogues, Giada Nogues, and Marilyse Vanacore, not to mention her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Family was her highest priority and she helped four generations to grow strong. She was a fiercely devoted sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Her passing will forever leave a hole in our hearts. The family will receive condolences on Sunday, October 9, 2016 between 1:00pm and 3:00pm at the Centro Asturiano de Tampa, 1913 North Nebraska Avenue, Tampa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name at either the Judeo Christian Health Clinic or LifePath Hospice.
