Sharon Elaine Patterson

On Saturday, February 11, 2023, Sharon Patterson, loving mother, passed away at the age of 80. Sharon, originally from Springfield, Illinois, moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in the early 1960's. Here she raised three daughters with her former husband, Bob Patterson. She was an employee of Current, Incorporated for several years. She was grounded by her faith and a part of the Christian community of Colorado Springs. She was truly generous, and her heart was constantly moved toward the encouragement and support of single mothers. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Blackburn; and nephew, Bradley. She is survived by her sister, Sandy; brother, Randy; her three daughters, Dawn (Paul), Pam (Mike), and Bobbi (Mark); four grandchildren, David (Sara), Stephen, Kelsey and Trent; and two great-grandchildren, Emory and Theo; and nieces, Tammy (Doug) and Lacee. No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled. Memorial Contributions made in lieu of flowers will be used to honor Sharon’s favorite organization, Mary’s Home, a program serving single mothers and their children.
