Shirley Jean Hanson passed away June 25, 2024, in Olympia, Washington, her home of 56 years. She was born October 9, 1939, to Ray F. and Hazel M. Bartley in Ajlune, Lewis County, Washington.
Shirley attended Mossyrock High School, was a retired baker, and attended Capital Christian Center in Olympia. She was a snowbird to Arizona and enjoyed cruises and beach trips.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Hanson of Olympia; son, Duane A. Quinn of Olympia; daughter, Vickie L. Whisenant of Olympia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Terry D. Bartley of Napavine, Washington; and sister, Diana R. McCutchan of Chehalis, Washington.
Services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Salkum Fire Department Hall, 2495 US-12, Salkum, WA 98582.
