Sonia Riley-Clifton passed away due to cancer on January 15, 2024, in Lacey, Washington, her home of 23 years. She was born December 6, 1965, to Cecil Keith and Norma Riley in Mansfield, England. Sonia earned an AA degree in Culinary Arts from South Puget Sound Community College and was a professional chef and culinary artist. She loved knitting, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, drawing, painting, catering, traveling, and most of all being the world’s best Nana and Mum. Sonia is survived by her sons, Timothy Clifton and Gareth Clifton; daughter, Jennifer Clifton; two grandchildren; mother, Norma Riley; brother, Clifford Riley; and sisters, Jackie Cologiovanni and Joanne Field. She was predeceased by her father, Cecil Keith Riley. Services will be held in June 2024 at Newthorpe Baptist Church in Nottingham, England. Memorial donations may be made to the church or to a women’s shelter of choice. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
