Sophie Zaborowski, age 72 of Venice, FL, formerly of Garfield, NJ, passed away on August 30, 2023. She was born on July 15, 1951, in Rzeszow, Poland to Marian and Genowefa Barabasz. Sophie previously had worked as a hospital administrator for a cardiac unit. She was an avid gardener as well as a great cook and enjoyed walking and exploring beaches. Sophie enjoyed taking care of animals and helping them in any way that she could. Sophie deeply loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Sophie is preceded in death by her parents Marian and Genowefa Barabasz Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 53 years Marian Zaborowski of Venice, FL; sons Bo Zaborowski of Orlando, FL, Peter (Tiffany) Zaborowski of New Jersey; Mark (Annmarie) Zaborowski of Arizona; as well as her grandchildren Andrew, Hailey, and Lily. A visitation for Sophie will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Farley Funeral Home 265 Nokomis Ave S. Venice, FL 34285, a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am at Epiphany Cathedral 310 Sarasota St, Venice, FL 34285 with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens 1950 Center Road, Venice, FL 34292. The family requests memorial donations be made to the ASPCA at https://secure.aspca.org/donate/memorial or donations to the Catholic Church for a mass in Sophie’s name.
