Steve Leyva Date of Birth December 11, 1953 Date of Death January 10, 2021. Steve went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ surrounded by his loving family on January 10, 2021. Anyone who had the honor in meeting Steve knew his first love was our Lord Jesus Christ. Once you knew Steve you knew he had a heart of gold. He was a blessing anyone who crossed paths with him. Steve served our country in the US Army for 6 years. He later became a meat cutter and worked produce for many years. He loved singing and dancing. Steve shared a special bond with his daughter Sophia (SoSo) his sister Letti, and his granddaughter Antonia Martinez (Dimple Face). Steve is proceeded in death by his father William Leyva and Mother Eliza Leyva. He is survived by his beloved wife Helen Leyva, beloved daughters Sophia and husband Thomas Taylor, Nicole and husband Scott Hester, mother of his daughters Esther Christie and son Stephen Jr. Granddaughters Andrea, Esther, Malia and Neveah. Michelle (Joe), Melissa (Gilbert) and Jolene. Grandsons Matthew, Georgie, Gilbert, Antonio and Santiago. Granddaughters Antonia, Nicole. Great Granddaughters Neveah, Honesty and Meriiyah. Siblings Letti and husband Yisdro Coyazo, Yvonne and husband Tony Romero, Henrietta Silva, Nivia Thames, Christina and husband Manny Santos, brother Marlin wife Shelby Leyva and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers' Joe Uranga, Thomas Taylor, Antonia Martinez, Georgie Martinez, Raymond Lopez and Gilbert Mancha. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic public health order there will be a private interment at Christian Life Fellowship following a burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
