March 14th, 1964 - June 8th, 2015
Tammy Renee Sutton, 51, of Chapin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, June 8, 2015. She was born in Bamberg, South Carolina to the late Erie and Dolly (Thompson) Garrick. Tammy was a great mother, wife, sister, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and a loving "Uhma" to her four grand babies. She spent most of her time enjoying family, sunbathing on Lake Murray and her annual trips to Panama City Beach. Tammy was a very caring and loving person to all who knew her. She will be missed deeply by many. Tammy is survived by her husband of 26 years, George Tracy Sutton; her sons, Charles Aken Beason (Brittany) of Aiken, Steven B. Sutton of Swansea and her daughter, Jennifer S. Barfield (Jeffrey) of Lexington. She is survived by her sisters, Lindy Garrick of Cayce, Crystal V. Lee of Beaufort and Victoria R. Bozard of Saint Matthews. She also is survived by her four grandchildren, Hayley, CJ, Colton and Hannah. A Celebration of her life will be at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 3 p.m.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
