Teena Lea Carlton

Teena Lea Carlton, 64 years of age, Originally born and raised in Louisville, KY April 23, 1960. Most currently living in Largo, FL since 2001. Teena passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of May 18, 2024 in her own home. 

Born and raised in Louisville, Ky and graduated from Iroquois High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” and Jessie Elizabeth Ford.

Teena is survived by her Husband of 45 years, Chuck Carlton, daughter, Toni L. Goodson, Son-in-Law, Mark Goodson, Granddaughter, Ava, Grandsons, Landon and Colby and her sister, Debbie, Brother-in-Law Mike Schmidt, Niece, Andrea Bush, her Husband Jordan, and two Great Nephews, Baine and Bryn.

Her passion was her friends and family, her pets, Nascar Racing and her love of music. She would like to fill our multi-CD player with her favorite country stars and listen to them all day and all night long.

Her many trips with all her friends to Nascar Races and the Florida Keys were some of her favorite memories. She cherished our time on boats, on the beaches and in the waterfront restaurants. When we weren’t traveling with friends, she loved to host neighborhood parties on our screened in patio and pool area.

She also had a passion for cooking and feeding people. She came from a long career with a degree in Nutritional Services with the Jefferson County School System in Louisville. She worked as a manager over several school cafeterias, where most of her paychecks would be spent on children who she knew couldn’t afford their own breakfast or lunch. She totally loved “Her” kids.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 22, 2024 at American Legion Post 252 located at 11433 Park Blvd N, Seminole, Florida 33772 between 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. All of our friends and neighbor are welcome to attend, dress casual, there will be food and drinks available.
