Teresa Maxine Davis
September 6th, 1948 - February 16th, 2020
Teresa Maxine (Stark) Davis, age 71, ascended to heaven on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Chandler Regional Hospital, in Chandler, AZ. Terri was born on September 6, 1948 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO., to Robert and Marjorie (Maupin) Stark. Terri graduated from Center High School in Kansas City, MO. She achieved a cosmetology license, allowing her to professionally pursue her passion for hair and makeup. Early in her career, Terri also worked as a secretary at Coach’s Council on 18th and Vine. She later spent over 40 years as serving as a property manager for various property owners. As one of Kansas City’s biggest sports fans, Terri enjoyed attending Royals and Chiefs games regularly. Her most recent joyous moments were celebrating the Chiefs in their AFC and Super Bowl LIV victories. Terri was preceded in death by her Father, Robert B. Stark, Mother, Marjorie M. (Maupin) Stark, Husband, Paul Walker Davis and Sister, Helen Stark. Left to cherish the memory of Terri are her two sisters, Susan M. (Stark) Winfrey (Overland Park, KS) and Irene M. (Stark) Richards (Scottsdale, AZ); two daughters, Melinda M. (Stark) Byrd (Dallas, TX) and Sandra K. Jackson (Phoenix, AZ); four grandchildren, Patrick Wayne Byrd II, Nico Marques Byrd, Cydnie Lawshae Byrd, and Angel Nicoe Byrd; five blessing children by marriage, Victor Davis (New Orleans, LA) Gardenia (Davis) Council (Houston, TX), Paula Marie Davis (Kansas City, MO), Stephanie Davis (Kansas City, MO), Nicole Lee (Texas); a host of blessing in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews by marriage; and many deeply cherished close friends. Terri moved to Phoenix, AZ in March 2018. She will be fondly remembered as an intelligent, hard working, loving daughter of Christ. In lieu of funeral services, a memorial book is being created to honor Terri. Family and friends are invited to provide their fondest memories, as well as meaningful impacts Terri had to be included in the memorial book. Copies will be distributed in the coming months. If you are interested in contributing to the contents of the book or would like to receive a copy, please contact Sandra Jackson at [email protected].
