Thomas Jefferson Bonds, III, 78 passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2024. He was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey February 1, 1945. He served in the army during the Vietnam War, graduated with a Bachelors from Florida Technological University and a Masters from USF. He taught 7th grade math for 35 years at Stambaugh Middle school. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Jefferson Bonds, JR; Dorothy Pew Bonds and Bruce Douglas Bonds. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Marsha Bonds, son George Bonds (Carol), grandchildren Lindsey Jernigan (Dacota), Alexis Bonds, step-grandchildren Allison Altman (Brandon), and Scott Bowie. Burial services will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on February 1, 2024 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Meals on Wheels of Polk County.
