Thomas Jarrod “TJ” Hallowell passed away March 6, 2019 after a heart attack in Lacey, Washington. He was born October 15, 1974 to Thomas Britton Hallowell and Dawn Pamela Kendrick in Nashua, New Hampshire. He also lived in Daytona, Florida; Franklin, New Hampshire; Provo, Utah; and Natchez, Mississippi. TJ attended Capital High School, North Thurston High School and Puget Sound High School. He married Lisa Renee in 2009, and later divorced. Professionally, he was a cab driver, worked for Aaron’s Rentals, and HOW Adjustments and Recover in Bellevue, Washington. TJ was sensitive, loving, dedicated and loyal. He was especially kind to the elderly and babies, and was concerned for his family and friends. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. TJ loved fishing, sharks, eating out, and traveling. He was a big Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed spending time with cousins and friends, and loved BYU Provo. He is survived by his significant other, Kathryn “Katie” Gwinn; son, Zachary T. Drane; daughter Amika Linn Fallentine Morton; parents, Dawn and Tom Gibb, Thomas B. Hallowell of Conroe, Texas, and stepmother, Leigh Hallowell of Hayesville, North Carolina; brother, Matthew J. Ryther; and sisters, Deanna Nathaniel of Tumwater, Kathryn D. Nunley of Tumwater, and Michelle Hallowell of North Carolina. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Elsie and Britton Hallowell, and William and Eunice Kendrick. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3800 Henderson Blvd., Olympia, WA 98501. Memorial donations may be made to the Framingham Heart Study, Framingham, Mass.
