Thor J. Thorsen, of Sullivan, WI passed away peacefully on December, 4, 2013 at his home at the age of 78 years. Thor was born on August 12, 1935, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Hans and Geneva Thorsen. He married the love of his life, Joann Dalgren on June 7, 1958 in Waukesha, WI. Thor retired from General Electric after 25 years of service. He enjoyed bowling and was a "Big" Minnesota Vikings Fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with family. Thor will be sadly missed by his wife, Joann of 55 years; his children, Todd Thorsen of Waukesha, Tammy (James) Evans of Mukwonago, Tina Thorsen of Mukwonago, Troy Thorsen of Sullivan and Tanja Thorsen of Watertown; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister Nordean Richards; sister-in-law, Audrey McCue; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kay McCue; brother-in-law, David Richards (who died on Dec. 4, 2013). The visitation for Thor will be held from 12:00 Noon until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at United Methodist Church, W110 Concord Center Dr. Sullivan, WI 53178. The burial will take place immediately following at Glenview Cemetery, Ixonia, WI. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family appreciated.
