Gate City, VA – Tommy Lee “Diz” Jarrett, 70, of the Kermit Community, passed away in his home Sunday, February 4th, 2024. Tommy was a close friend to our whole community and like family to most. Tommy was a man of many trades and if he didn’t know how to do it, he sure had fun figuring it out. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. Jarrett, Sr and Dicie Mae (Fields) Jarrett; brothers, Carter Jarrett and Terry “Fly” Jarrett. Surviving are his brother, Calvin Jarrett and wife Geneva; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends along with his best friend, Merlin Thacker. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 1:00 pm Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Roberts-Houseright Cemetery, Cassard Lane, Gate City, VA (Kermit Community) for the graveside service for Tommy. Pastor Larry Tolley will be officiating. Music will be provided by the Hensley Family. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Catron Chapel Primitive Baptist Church,Cowans Branch Missionary Baptist Church and all their friends and neighbors in the community for their love and kindness shown.
