Walter "Shep" Sheppard
February 28th, 1935 - June 7th, 2018
Walt ""Shep"" Sheppard passed away peacefully on June 7, 2018 at Tidewell Hospice of Port Charlotte. He was born on February 28, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland to Harold & Lily Sheppard. He was preceded in death by his brothers Harold & Gene and sister Gerri, also, daughter, Robin Plansky and granddaughter, Brittany Pratt and first wife Dolores Martin. He received a Line of Duty retirement from the Balto. City Police Dept. He also was Director of Security for Jos. A. Banks & London Fog. Shep was a Navy Veteran of which he was very proud. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia and sons Rick Sheppard (Laura Lotman), George & Terri Taylor and adopted daughter Peggy (Arlie) Holbert, 7 grand children & 3 great grandchildren. He was extremely proud of everyone in his family and often said: when my time comes, I can say I have loved, been loved and lived a full life.
