Wanda Lucile Daugherty Wanda Daugherty passed away peacefully on July 2, 2021, at her home in Molalla. She was born on October 9, 1926, to Ora and Grace Coover in Scotts Mills. She married Charles Daugherty in 1946 and moved to his family home where she would live until her passing. She attended and graduated from Molalla High School, while working at Safeway, which is where she met Charles. Wanda was a homemaker, rancher and artist. She dedicated her time to her family, teaching them about livestock and hard work. Together with her husband, they were pioneers in breeding Limousin cattle. They had a Jersey dairy farm in the late 1940s through the 1950s. They also produced and exhibited registered Hampshire sheep throughout the west coast, winning many awards. Her artistry was shown primarily in her ceramic painting and stained glass creations. She also was an excellent tailor, and sewed many outfits throughout her lifetime, primarily for her daughter and granddaughter. While their children were young, Wanda was a proud member of the local Saddle Club and the Barlow Trail Riders. She was also a member of The Pastime Club, and the Hampshire Association. Her expertise with delivering lambs allowed her to consult with veterinarians in the area. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles Daugherty, and her sister Rita Cox. She is also joined in death by her faithful Corgi companion, Foxy. She is survived by her children Roger Daugherty and Connie (Mike) Davidson; daughter-in-law Anne Daugherty; grandchildren Ryan (Amanda) Davidson, Travis (Shannon) Davidson, Aaron (Rhea) Daugherty, and Katelin Davidson; and great-grandchildren James, Mikayla, Lynnly, Orion, and Declan Davidson. Contributions can be made to Adams Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Molalla Funeral Chapel.
