Wanda Mathis Threatt, 65, of Ridgeway, SC, was called home on December 26, 2022. Wanda was born February 20, 1957 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to the late Edgar Monroe Mathis and Mary Stewart Mathis. Wanda is survived by her two children Rickie V. Threatt, Jr. (Kristy) and Tammy R. Threatt. She is also survived by Rick V. Threatt, Sr., her sister, Deborah M. Ward (James), her brother Edgar M. Mathis, Jr., and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Wanda was a graduate of Lee College, University of South Carolina and Columbia International University. She spent her entire career as a Respiratory Therapist serving Richland, Kershaw and Fairfield communities. Wanda utilized her training on many medical mission trips to Honduras and Romania. Wanda was a member of Elmwood Church of God where she taught Sunday School and Bible Studies. She loved traveling the world with her family and friends, going on many adventures. She was an avid animal lover. Wanda had many talents, and enjoyed playing the piano, baking cakes, crafting and writing biblical plays. She used her ministry of hand-crafted angels to provide encouragement for people placed in her path, and she loved serving others. She always greeted people with a warm smile and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fairfield County Animal Adoption Center.

North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
