Wendy Anne Howard
February 5th, 1944 - March 16th, 2013
Wendy Anne Livingston (Ellzey) Howard of Brevard County, Florida who was born on February 5th,1944 in Hackensack, New Jersey completed her life's journey on March 16, 2013 in the loving arms of her son and daughter. She now resides in the heavens and has been returned to her place amongst the stars. Mother of Meredith (Meri Ellzey) Wright and her husband Jeff Wright, and James (Jay) Ellzey, she is also known as Nannie (or The Nan) to her four grandchildren Jullian and Alex Strobel-Ellzey, and Emma and Cara Wright. To others she is niece, cousin, neighbor, and friend. Wendy was first married to Jerry F. Ellzey, and then to her late husband James A. Howard. She lived in Florida where she worked for NASA, and her signature is on the moon. She also lived for many years in Colorado Springs, Colorado and worked as a paralegal. Retired, she returned to Florida and volunteered at the St. Vincent dePaul Church helping others in need. She was a lover of art, music, and great books. She was also a kitchen witch (the good kind), nature lover, fast and loyal friend, stubborn Scotswoman, Star Trek fan, bargain hunter, and a champion for way-ward souls for both animals and humans alike. She always took the path less traveled upon. Her love will stay in our hearts, and she will be dearly missed. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 3:00pm at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, 1550 North Atlantic Avenue for family, friends, and all who were touched by her enormous generosity and magnificent spirit. For Auld Lang Syne.
