Mr. Wesley “Kris” Dowd, age 53 a resident of Cumming, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at his home unexpectedly Mr. Dowd was born April 6, 1968 in Winter haven, FL. to William Howard and Evelyn (Kitchens) Dowd. He was a resident of Cumming, GA. for 30 years coming from Auburndale. Kris graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1986 and retired from State Farm in the Maintenance Department after 32 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother. Kris is survived by his loving family, wife, Shelley Simmons-Dowd; son – Hunter Dowd; 2 daughters – Kiely Dowd & Samantha Davis; father – Howard (Gayle) Dowd; brother – Kevin (Gina) Dowd; sister – Kandi Dowd-Brown; 3 nephews – Logan (Julianna), Dalton (Alyssa) & Justin and 2 nieces – Kendra & Katy. A memorial service will be held 5:00 pm Friday, March 25th at Kersey Funeral Home.
