Obituary Marion William "Bill" Plunkett, 83, of Fort Collins Co., passed away on October 17, 2020, after a battle with liver cancer. Bill was born on May 3rd, 1937, in Great Bend, Kansas, to William Henry Plunkett an Eva May Hensey Plunkett. He graduated from Greybull, WY., high school after which he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving on the Bergstrom SAC air base at Austin, Texas. After enlistment he went to California and while there received his college education at San Bernardino State College. He then returned to Wyoming to work for the Wyoming Highway Department, the Union Pacific Railroad and finally Colorado Interstate Gas, from which he retired. He loved taking his boat to Canada on fishing trips and trips to Alaska. Bill is preceded in death by his parents William and Eva Plunkett, three sisters Florence Jenkins, Lucille Geltman, and Anna Taylor. Bill is survived by his wife Dorothy (Burke) Plunkett, his daughter Valerie Baldwin of Georgetown, Texas, his son Kevin Plunkett, (Lani) San Diego, California, grandchildren Dustin Baldwin, Christina Baldwin and Jessica (Josh) Newell, step-son, Liam (Patty) Savage and seven great grandchildren and stepsons Troy (Bretta) Carlile, Todd (Becky) Carlile, Tracy Carlile and Travis Carlile. Also surviving Bill are sisters May Schumacher and Zona Waters. Due to the pandemic, the family has decided to conduct Bill's memorial service in Fort Collins on Bill's birthday on May 3rd, 2021 at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
