Warner Robins, GA-William Joseph “Joe” Whitaker, 51, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Joe was born in Macon, GA on June 15, 1966 to the late John Casper Whitaker and Mrs. Lola Louise Tallant. He was a loving man, who never met a stranger and was known for his love of the outdoors and fishing. He also enjoyed music, singing and playing guitar. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Durry. His memory will forever be cherished by his daughter, Laurie Whitaker; son, Jake Whitaker; mother, Lola Louise Tallant; uncle, Buddy Smith; two brothers, Dennis and Kenneth Whitaker; and several nieces and nephews.
