William J. Williams
March 21st, 1924 - June 23rd, 2013
William J. Williams, 89, passed away peacefully in St. Petersburg, FL on Sunday, June 23, 2013. He was born in Forty Fort, PA in 1924. Served in the Navy during World War II as an Aviation Ordinance man and obtained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class. He worked for General Motors for 30 years as a tool & die setter and retired to St. Cloud, Florida in 1978. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. His Masonic involvement includes, Shriner, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star, Daytona Beach Lodge No. 1. Bill was a 32nd degree Mason, a Perpetual Member of Daytona Beach Lodge 270, Mason of the year 2011, Daytona Lodge 170. He was a gifted piano and organ player, he won many awards when he was younger and went on to play the organ for a variety of Masonic Lodges in New Jersey and Florida. He resided in the Masonic Home of Florida with his loving wife and enjoyed playing poker, bingo and visiting with friends and family. He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret Hilman (Thomas) Williams. He is survived by his wife, Marion (Fike) Williams, of St. Petersburg, FL; a son, William J. Williams, Jr. of Levittown, PA; daughters Linda (Williams) Wilson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Leslie (Williams) Jones, of Medford, NJ; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great -great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
