AUBURNDALE - Mr. William F. De Witt, age 69 of Auburndale passed away Friday in Auburndale due to cancer. Mr. De Witt was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had lived in this area since 1997 coming from Long Island. He was a retired entrepreneur and focused his retirement around his love of life and family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. De Witt was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Madeline Warren. He is survived by his son, William M. (Rosa) De Witt of Auburndale; daughter, Noreen M. De Witt Weber of Auburndale; 2 sisters, Jane Conaghan and Carol Parajos, both of Sarasota; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Champney of Lake Alfred, Nadia De Witt, Destanie De Witt and Brittany De Witt, all of Auburndale, and 2 great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Dodson and Ethan Dodson, both of Lake Alfred. Services will be private on November 4. Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale in charge of arrangements.
