Willie Gertrude Ray Cooper, 93, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away June 28, 2017 at her home. She was born on April 10, 1924, in Elko, South Carolina to the late Johnny Henry Ray and Susie Mae (Still) Ray. Willie is survived by her three daughters: Wanda Geiger of Camden South Carolina, Jonni Vincent and her husband, Alan of Columbia, South Carolina and Jan Daniels and her husband, Joey of West Columbia, South Carolina; a sister, Verna Mae Murphy of Williston, South Carolina; eight grandchildren: Cory Hyslop (Joy), Travis Hyslop (Stacie), Ashley Geiger-Eig (Josh), Amy Harrelson (Joseph), Courtney Vincent (Ben Davis), Evan Vincent, Matthew Bates (Natalie), and Madison Pitts (Michael); seven great-grandchildren: Britt and Emily Hyslop, Camryn Grace Hyslop, Adam Geiger, Willow Sydney Eig, Jackson Harrelson, and Bailey Bates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brooks Cooper; daughter, Jackie Hyslop; and son-in-law, Lloyd Geiger. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 1-3 pm with a funeral service following at 3pm. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park .
