Constance Lillian Rockwell

May 26, 1932 — April 11, 2026

Constance Lillian Rockwell (Connie), beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 11, 2026, in Largo, Florida. She was born May of 1932 in Peabody, Massachusetts, the daughter of John Marshall and Lillian Sudak Marshall.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Rockwell; her son, Robert Rockwell Jr.; and her granddaughter, Anna Rockwell.

A trailblazer for her time, Connie proudly served in the Women's Army Corps during the Korean conflict, where she rose to the rank of Platoon Sergeant. During her tour in Stuttgart, Germany, she met her future husband, Robert. Together they built a life and raised their family, first in Peabody, Massachusetts, and later in Camillus, New York.

She is survived by her children: daughter Cynthia Rockwell and her husband Steven Napolitan; daughter Julie Brooks and her husband, Paul Brooks; and son Roger Rockwell.

Connie and Bob created cherished memories for their family, especially during summers spent camping at Salter Path in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. In their retirement years, they traveled across the United States, exploring many of the nation's most treasured landmarks. Eventually, they settled in Largo, Florida, where they enjoyed their later years together.

Connie was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

She will be remembered for her strength, independence, and the special memories shared through her family recipes, especially her incredible coffee cake, which brought loved ones together around the table. Before she passed, Connie said, "I had a good life", a reflection of the gratitude and perspective with which she lived every day.

A military memorial service with full honors will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on May 8, 2026, at 9:00am.
