WYSS, Ruth A. 88, of St. Petersburg, passed away Feb. 16, 2014 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center. Born May 20, 1925 in Otego, NY, the daughter of George and Ethel Bingham Goble, preceded in death by daughter Jackie Marie Famach in 1992 and her husband of 64 years, Louis G. Wyss in 2009. She is survived by sons, Greg (Barbara) of Houston, TX, Larry (Kathy) of Tierra Verde, FL; grandsons, Evan Wyss of Brooklyn, NY, Kyle Wyss of St. Petersburg; sister-in-law Emily Putano of Binghamton, NY; nieces Vicki Noonan and Nancy Stillittano; nephew Bernie Putano; and son-in-law and grandson John and Robert Famach. Ruth graduated in 1942 as Valedictorian of her class in Mt. Upton, NY and went on to graduate from Central City Business Institute in Syracuse, NY. Ruth Goble and Lou Wyss were married in San Diego, CA Jan. 28, 1945 where Lou was stationed with the US Navy. After WWII, they settled in Lou's hometown of Sidney, NY to raise their family. In 1971, Ruth and Lou moved to Indian Rocks Beach and they lived the remainder of their lives in the St. Petersburg area, where they were especially involved in the lives of their grandsons Evan and Kyle. Internment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney, NY, where a Memorial Service will be held May 17, 2014. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com.
