Dolores C Couture
October 4, 1943 — May 3, 2026
In loving memory,
Dolores C Arteaga (Couture), passed away at the age of 82 on Sunday, May 3 2026, at her home in Nampa, Idaho. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Gerald “Jerry” Couture, her lifelong love of 63 years. She was born on October 4, 1943, in Corunna, Michigan, the daughter of the late Carlos Arteaga and Fanny “Mae” Rundell (Arteaga).
Dolores moved to Idaho with her husband in 1974, where they built a loving, caring life for their family. Over the years, she worked a variety of jobs to provide comfort and stability for those she loved.
In 1987, Dolores graduated from Travel Agent Academy, where she tried to pursue her longtime dream of becoming an airline stewardess, but instead she accepted a position as a receptionist with the Garden City Police Department. She later retired from Idaho Power, where she spent her final working years.
In retirement, Dolores was able to pursue the passions she had long cherished. She loved camping and traveling with her husband, reading books, and spending time with her family. She was a proud mother and grandmother, a devoted sister, and someone who deeply valued the people she loved.
She is survived by her children, son Tod Couture and daughter Renee Couture; two grandchildren Sara Couture and Sean Couture and one great grandchild Rhys Couture. Along with her sister Gail Arteaga (Coronado) and her cousin Carol Rundell (Kamm).
Dolores was a strong person and will be deeply missed
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services; a service for the family will be held at a later date where she will be laid to rest in a niche at the Meridian Cemetery
