Douglas Stovall

February 4, 1947 — April 25, 2019

My Life Story Douglas Clark Stovall died Thursday, April 25, 2019, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born February 4, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada where his parents had temporarily settled after WW II. Soon after his birth, they moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado where Doug grew up and graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. After a brief time in the Army, he went on to complete a Master's degree from the University of Colorado. Civil Engineering took Doug all over the world for many years, including positions in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Thailand. After leaving Thailand, Doug and his wife, Somsiri, settled in Phoenix, Arizona for five years. His job then took them to San Francisco. They moved to Boise in 2016, after retiring and realizing California didn't match their values and lifestyle. Doug is survived by Somsiri, his wife of 16 years; three children: Cyndi, Amy and Matthew; five grandchildren; and brother, Ron (Debbie) Stovall. Doug will be deeply missed by his wife and family. Remembrances may be left for the family on Doug's webpage at www.AccentFuneral.com. *Please see "Service Information" tab for service details. *
