Timothy John O'Neill
Jan 1, 1964 — Mar 26, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy John O'Neill, a cherished father, brother, uncle, and friend, who departed from this world on March 26, 2026, at the age of 62. Tim was born on January 1, 1964, in Syracuse, New York to John Eugene O'Neill and Ann Jean Harrity, who predeceased him but whose love and values he carried forward throughout his life.
Tim spent his childhood in Dallas, Texas, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for the great outdoors and a spirited love of sports. He found joy in rollerblading, mountain biking, and most passionately, in hockey.
Following his graduation from high school, Tim joined the United States Air Force on May 30, 1984. He served honorably until March 28, 1989. His time in the Air Force instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he cherished deeply.
Upon completing his military service, He earned the degree of Associate of Applied Sciences in Electronics with honors from DeVry Institute of Technology in Irving Texas. This eventually led to a remarkable 31-year career with Applied Materials, of which took him and his family from Texas to Utah, then Connecticut, and finally back to the landscapes of Idaho.
He was raised and spent much time in St. Rita’s catholic church and was taught to be proud of his Irish roots by his parents. He went on a trip to Ireland with the Irish American Society, where he felt a deep connection to the land of his family. Here, his value and love of tradition were strengthened.
Tim’s legacy lives on through his beloved children, Connor Timothy O'Neill and Grace Kelly O'Neill, who were his pride and joy. He instilled in them the same values of love, perseverance, and kindness that he learned from his loving parents. He is also survived by his siblings, John Patrick O'Neill and Ellen Cecelia O'Neill, and his nephew, Aidan John Landig, all of whom were blessed by his warmth and wisdom.
As we remember Tim, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by service, dedication, and an unyielding love for family and friends. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the beautiful memories and lasting impact he leaves behind.
May Tim rest in eternal peace, reunited with his parents, and forever remembered in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.
