Bernadette “Bernie” Bourguignon July 13, 1944 – March 2, 2026

Bernadette “Bernie” Bourguignon, age 81, passed away at Northwest Hospital on March 2, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona.

Bernie was born on July 13, 1944, in Argo, Illinois, to Joseph and Edwina Baran. She was raised with strong family values and a deep appreciation for hard work—qualities that would guide her throughout her life.

Bernie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Bourguignon, and her parents, Joseph and Edwina Baran. Together, Bernie and Bill built a life centered on family, dedication, and entrepreneurship. They proudly owned and operated Parise’s Western Wear, a business that became well known in the community and reflected their shared work ethic and commitment to serving others.

Bernie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who took great pride in her family. She is survived by her only son, Christopher Bourguignon, and daughter-in-law, Tori Bourguignon; her sister, Celeste Orach; her grandchildren, Grady Bourguignon (Stephanie) and Kaylee Bourguignon; and her two cherished great-grandsons, Cooper and Devin Bourguignon. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Bernie will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. She had a warm spirit, a sharp wit, and a way of making those around her feel welcome and cared for. Her legacy lives on through the generations of family who were fortunate to know and love her.

A Mass will be celebrated on April 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Parish, located at 300 N Tanque Verde Loop Rd, Tucson, AZ 85748. The Mass will be officiated by Fr. Chris Orndorff.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
