Daniel R Clark
October 21, 1955 — February 13, 2025
Daniel R. Clark, affectionately known as “Danny” or “Papa” to his grandchildren, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 21, 1955, in Tucson, Arizona, he spent his entire life in his beloved hometown. Danny graduated from Rincon High School in 1974 and earned his electrician journeyman certificate at Pima Community College.
Danny worked with an electrical contractor in the late 70s and early 80s. He then worked for over 30 years at Honeywell, dedicating his time and talents to the company. Dan continued working side jobs, helping friends with various projects and remodeling after retirement from Honeywell. He then went to work for Flowing Wells School District for 5 years. He enjoyed the various duties and “family” of friends he made.
Danny was a talented electrician who dedicated much of his life to helping others. If something needed repair, Danny was always the solution. He used his skills generously, often accepting payment in the form of love, tamales, lumpia, and even a cold can of Miller Lite. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in need, and his generosity knew no bounds.
Throughout his life, Danny was deeply rooted in love, family, and a strong sense of home. He enjoyed many adventures with his devoted wife, Angie Clark, and their two daughters, Dallas (fiancé Jason) and DeAna (fiancé Zach). Over the years, Danny cherished every moment with his three grandchildren, Araya, Tommy, and Isla.
He formed lasting bonds through his high school years, his passions for sports, his extended family, and his work. He loved the lake and boating, camping, and going to the sand dunes. Many of the friends he made along the way became an extended family in their own right. Danny truly loved life and thrived in the company of others, and his legacy of love, connection, and generosity will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His commitment to his family and his work was unwavering, and he set an extraordinary example of love, kindness, and dedication.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Lambert and Margaret Clark, his brother Harold Rucker Jr., his sister Shirley Huerta, his brother Albert Clark, his nephew Chris John Yanez, and his niece Sandy Frye. He is survived by his wife Angie Clark, daughter Dallas Clark (Jason), daughter DeAna Clark (Zach), and his grandchildren Araya Burke-Wilton, Tommy Burke-Wilton, and Isla Burke-Wilton. He is also survived by his sisters, Eloise Yanez, Anna Lujan (Paul), Chris Schmidt, and brother Joseph Clark. Also survived by nieces and nephews including Christine (Gary), Henry, Paula (Frank), Paul Jr., Matthew, Patti, Diane, Cecilia, Andrea, Michelle, and many, many great nieces and nephews.
A service and celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8th at Pantano Christian Church located at 1755 S. Houghton Road, Tucson, AZ 85748.
