Kim Eason
June 21, 1957 — February 23, 2026
Kim Hessick Eason, born June 21, 1957, in Tucson, Arizona, also known as Mom, Grammy, Aunt Kimmie, Sissy, Kim-Bob, and Kimmie, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2026.
Kim was a lover of life, an avid Wordle enthusiast, and a loyal U of A fan. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend to so many. She worked at Kellond Elementary School in the preschool and after school care for over 20 years. She loved hosting family dinners with everyone together, where she was always the commander of the kitchen. She loved a good game night, was a devoted Survivor watcher, a professional backseat driver, and you couldn’t keep her away from a good yard sale. You could often find her with her friends at her favorite watering hole. She loved the beach and often traveled to Florida, California, and especially loved Maui.
Kim is survived by her husband Ricky of 45 years, and their three children: Matthew (wife Brianna), Mallory (husband Jimmy), and Wyatt, and four grandchildren, Hessick, Hayden, Josie, and James and her sisters Sherrie Standish, Shelley Peabody, and Karen Bender. The celebration of her life will be held May 17th from 1pm - 4pm at the Tucson Women’s Club; 6245 E Bellevue Street, Tucson, AZ 85712. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Kim’s name.
