Bonnie Luzon Hansen

Bonnie Luzon Hansen, 86 of Greeley, passed away April 19, 2026 in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to Fred L Carpenter and Mary Luzon (Sondrup) Longaker on July 1, 1939 in Manti, Utah.
After high school, she attended Snow College in Ephraim and later got her Bachelor degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City.
She married her sweetheart, Morris “Spike” , and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Bonnie was a talented individual and a hard worker. She did secretarial work for Hi-Land Dairy, Olsen Construction, Christensen Diamond, and Northwest Pipeline. She was also the office manager at the Cottonwood Country Club before retiring.
Bonnie brought beauty to the world through her many talents including sewing, crocheting, knitting, and painting. Perhaps her greatest talent was loving people. With Morris she created a home of faith, laughter and love.
For over 15 years , she and Morris had booths at the Fort Collins Flea Markets. They loved antiquing and just being together. But above all, her family and Faith were her priorities. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bonnie and Morris served three missions in Greeley for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Bonnie is survived by children, Mary (Bruce) Holt, Colene (Kevin) Gardner, Bonnie “Patti” Hansen, Mitchell (Teri) Hansen, and Bradley Hansen; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers John (Victoria) Longaker, Fred (Jane) Carpenter, Phillip (Tracey) Carpenter and many other family and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Morris, daughter, Jolene, and brother, Robert Longaker.
A life celebration will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 5-7pm at the Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue Greeley, CO 80634.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bonnie’s name to the “Weld County Food Bank” in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 501 49th Avenue Greeley, CO 80634. Viewing will be from 2-2:45pm and church service from 3-4pm.
A graveside memorial will be Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11am, at Ephraim Park Cemetery, 620 N Main Street Ephraim, UT 84627.
