Jacqueline Louise Dorn

Jacqueline “Jackie” Louise Dorn, age, 79, passed away on June 1, 2026, at The Medical Center of the Rockies, surrounded by her loving family. Jackie grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School. She married Wayne Dorn, the love of her life, on January 15, 1967. She and Wayne had two children, Tracy Hettinger and Mike Dorn. Jackie was blessed with two grandchildren, Taylor Weyant and Bradley Hettinger. Her love for life was infectious.

Jackie loved going for walks, spending time with her cats, going to the mountains, gambling at Central City, enjoying the racetrack, and she loved the summertime in the RV. She couldn’t wait to just sit outside at the back of the RV and watch all the rigs pull in. This was what she called her “happy place.” Jackie had never met a stranger she loved everyone she met. Her hugs were the best and the strongest, you could feel the love she had for you with each embrace.

Jackie and Wayne for many years traveled to Las Vegas, they never missed a chance for a chance to make memories together. When it came to Wayne and her children that was her everything until her two grandchildren, she now had a new purpose. She had such pride and joy for Taylor and Bradley that she moved mountains to be able to spend as much time as possible with them. Jackie worked at School District #6 for many years and then transferred to Frontier Academy Charter School to be closer to the grandkids. This is where she would retire in 2015.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Michael) Hettinger; son, Mike (Becky) Dorn, grandkids, Taylor (Brandon) Weyant and Bradley Hettinger; and a sister, Betty Kay (Chuck) Park.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Wayne Dorn; brother, Richard Kimsey, Jr.; parents, Richard and Katherine Kimsey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Adamson Life Celebration Home. Jackie will be laid to rest with her husband at Sunset Memorial immediately following the service.
