Janet Dorothy Castillo

Janet Dorothy (Morones) Castillo, 74, of Greeley, CO passed away September 3, 2018 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born July 29, 1944 in Greeley to John and Margaret (Archuleta) Morones. Janet was instrumental in starting the Sunrise Clinic in Gill, CO as well as the Head Start Program and Migrant Council. She was employed by Greeley Gas Company, Evans Auto Sales and school district 6. She loved her grandchildren and just being with them. Janet enjoyed cooking tamales at Christmas, going to McDonalds, and being involved in conversation with her friends. She was an avid Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos fan. She was always there to help family and friends. Janet is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Benito) Garcia and Kathy Perez of Greeley; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and brothers, William Morones of Evans and Felix Morones of Littleton, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Anthony "Motto: Sanchez; two great grandchildren; brothers, Tommy and Salvador Morones; and sisters, Rosalie Agulara and Lillian Morones. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 915 12th Street, Greeley.
