John Thomas Cronkhite
September 22, 1978 — February 4, 2022
John Thomas Cronkhite of Kersey passed away on February 4th, 2022, at his residence. He was born September 22nd, 1978, to James “Jim” Cronkhite and Janet Plimley in Greeley, CO. John grew up in Colorado. He graduated from Loveland High School in 1997. During his adult life, John spent most of his time in the Weld County area. He had many skills and was a self-taught mechanic/welder. He was employed as a mechanic and welder at Lone Tree Services, LLC. On May 24th, 2014, John married Amanda Milton, whom he’d love and share his life with until her passing on January 11th, 2017.
John was a talented artist. He was gifted in the art of metal and wood working. He created several beautiful sculptures and furniture pieces. John was Old School. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, messing around on the acoustic and electric guitar, and helping those who needed it.
He is survived by his parents; Jim and Jan Cronkhite, his brother Justin Lee Cronkhite (Kelly M. Reynolds), his niece and nephew; Zoey and Jackson, and many other family members and friends including Danielle and Kim who shared special relationships with during his lifetime.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Amanda Cronkhite, his grandparents, multiple aunts and uncles including his great uncle, which he was named after, JT Cronkhite.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Research Institute; 1731 Embarcadero Rd. Suite 210, Palo Alto, CA 94303, in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home; 2000 W 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
A memorial reception will take place Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home; 2000 W 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
