Joyce Joan Johnson passed away May 16, 2016 at Bonell Good Samaritan under hospice care. She was born February 5, 1939 in Fairbury, NE to John Preston and Mary (Carmen) Flagle. She graduated from Mead High School in Mead, Nebraska and married Richard Johnson on June 7, 1958 in Mead. Joyce worked for Pendleton Woolens as a seamstress and later for Western Electric in Omaha. They moved to Greeley in 1973 where she worked for Woolco, Singer Sewing Machine and then opened her own Singer store in Fort Collins, later retiring. In her early years, she participated in archery in Fremont, NE. Her family enjoyed fishing and camping in the mountains. She was a wonderful seamstress, sewing all of her garments and enjoyed quilting in her later years. Survivors include her husband, Richard of Greeley; daughter, Katherine (Rodney) Johnson-Baker of Evans and son, Clifford Kenneth (Felicia) Johnson of Colorado Springs; three grandchildren, Sean Richard and Joshua Cameron Baker and Dante Russell Johnson; siblings, Betty Sagert, Jerry Flagle and MaryLou Robinson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Flagle and granddaughter, Brittany Baker. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Columbine Church of Christ, 2403 9th Ave., Greeley.
