Cecily "Kay” Stevenson, 76, of Platteville, passed away on 11/1/2018 in Loveland, Colorado. Kay was born to Sam and Winona (Cowen) Barclay on January 29, 1942 in Princeton, Indiana.
Kay loved music and playing the piano. She was blessed with a beautiful voice that she shared by singing at weddings and funerals. Kay was active in playing the piano and singing in the First United Methodist Church of Platteville choir for many years. She was an avid Rockies and Broncos fan, loved crossword puzzles and traveling with family and friends. Kay spent many years traveling with her daughters to horse shows across the United States. But most of all, Kay loved her family and always looked forward to spending time with her daughters and granddaughter.
Kay is survived by her children, Kelly (Larry) Huston, Robin Stevenson; granddaughter, Alexandria Hayes; siblings, Chris Barclay and Roxie Augustine and longtime family friend, Jerry Asay.
Kay was proceeded in death by her former husband and companion, Barton Stevenson; and her parents.
Life Celebration Service for Kay will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 10, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Platteville, 316 Elizabeth Avenue in Platteville.
Memorials may be given in Kay’s name to the "Wounded Warriors Projec"t or "Shrine'rs Hospitals for Children".
