Maria "Nellie" Trujillo

Maria "Nellie” Trujillo, 74, of Greeley, CO passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Hospice of Northern Colorado.
She was born September 2, 1940 in Galeton, CO to Jesus and Susie (Pisano) Mojica. Nellie grew up in Galeton, attending Galeton High School. On August 11, 1959 She married Gilbert Trujillo at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley.
Nellie worked for many Weld County families as a housekeeper until December of 2014 when she retired due to her health. She was a very hard worker and the strong core of her family. She and her husband raised their grandson, James. She was always loving, patient and provided gentle guidance to her family during their need. She had unconditional love for her family. The most important thing in her life was her marriage and the vows she took over 55 years ago.
She was a diehard Denver Bronco fan. Nellie was very rich in her Catholic faith, attending St.Mary Catholic Church where she was a member.
Nellie is survived by her husband Gilbert Trujillo, Sr. of Greeley; son, Gilbert (Trish) Trujillo, Jr. of Eaton, CO; daughters, Judy (Jeff) Murray of Las Cruces, NM, Magdalen (Keith) Harris of Cheyenne, WY; sisters, Rosie McDonnell of Denver and Esther (Manuel ) Romero of Greeley; brother, Johnny (Amy) Mojica of Gardena, CA; grandchildren, James (TY) Trujillo of Greeley, Jaron Murray of Las Cruces, Branden (Jacquie) of Carlton, OR, Brady Louis Trujillo of Salem, OR, and Marina D. Harris, Molina Harris and McKenzie Harris all of Cheyenne; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert George Mojica and Marion Mojica.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 followed by Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. both at St. Peter Catholic Church, 915 12th Street, Greeley.
