Maria Sunjuana Santillan
June 5, 1965 — May 25, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Sanjuana Santillan announces her passing at the age of 60. She passed away on May 25, 2026, at Medical Center of the Rockies surrounded by her loving family.
Maria was born on June 5, 1965, to Teresa Flores and Jose Perez Reyes in Lazaro Cardenas, Durango, Mexico. She was so dedicated to family that she decided to not further her education in order for her to tend to her many younger siblings and lend a helping hand to her parents. Later in life she had felt a calling to attend a pageant and was crowned queen of the ranch.
She enjoyed cooking hearty meals for her family. Her devotion to her family gave her a strong presence in her children’s lives. She loved the outdoors, gardening, going for walks and was a collector.
Maria had her first child, Brenda, in 1986. She would go on to have 5 more children. Her children meant so much to her that she quit working to raise them and be fully focused and present in their lives. She devoted her time, energy and life to them.
Maria is survived by her father, Jose Perez Reyes; her children, Ruth, Sanjuana, Enoch, Haggai, and Eliseo; her sons in laws Alberto and Joey; her granddaughters Nevaeh, Amari and Alejandra; her brothers, Severiano, Jose, and Meliton; and her sisters, Carmela, Olivia, Alicia and Lupe.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa, her daughter, Brenda, and brother, Armando.
The viewing will be held on June 8, 2026, from 5-7 pm at Adamson Life Celebration Home in Greeley, Colorado. The funeral service will be held on June 9, 2026, at 10 am at New Hope Church in Greeley, Colorado. Burial will follow at Linn Grove Cemetery.
