Ronald Lee Walters, 67, of Johnstown passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at MCR in Loveland. He was born on February 6, 1953 in Greeley to Herman and Virginia Ann (Herter) Walters.
Ron attended Johnstown schools and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1971.
On September 16, 1989 he married Sharon Mae Judson in Loveland.
Ron farmed with his dad. After his dad retired he bought the farm and then retired in 2016. He enjoyed taking care of his 64 acres, irrigating and maintaining alfalfa hay.
Working around the yard and shop, being with family and time with his dogs and grandkids was important to Ron. He liked to attend sugar beet meetings and car shows.
He was a member of the Colorado and National Beet Association.
Thankful to have shared his life are his wife, Sharon, their two sons; Josh (Misty) Walters and Kyle (Kati) Walters, four grandchildren; Lexi, Addie, Leigha and Kambri, mother, Virgina Walters, his brother, Bill (Linda) Walters and their family.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Monday, December 28 followed by Ron’s Life Celebration at 2:00 p.m. at Adamson. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorial gifts may be made to the "National Kidney Foundation” or "American Diabetes Association” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
