Ruth Demoney

Ruth Estella DeMoney, 102 of Greeley, CO passed away June 24, 2018 at Life Care Center of Greeley. Ruth was born December 17, 1915 to Robert and Carrie (Kiehnhoff) Deitrckson in rural Doniphan County, KS. She graduated from Troy High School in 1934 and attended Union College in Lincoln, NE. She married Dale DeMoney on August 1, 1944 after he returned home from the Aleutian Islands and just before he was deployed to Central Europe and the Rhineland during WWII. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and loved being around her family. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Life Care Center of Greeley for the sensitive and loving care given to Ruth. Ruth is survived by her son John (Terri) DeMoney of Greeley, daughter Cathy (Bill) Berg of Ft. Collins, CO, grandchildren Tyler (Kristie) DeMoney, Lindsey (Sean) Miller, Andrew (Nina) Berg and Blair (Holly) Berg, great grandchildren; Asher DeMoney , Hayden Miller, Blake Miller Emerson Miller, Grey DeMoney, Wesley Berg, Luna DeMoney, Malaika Berg and Lucille Berg. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Kathleen Deitrickson, Eunice Chapple, Jerry Benitz and grandson Travis DeMoney. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be considered to the "Community Grief Center” 2105 Clubhouse Drive, Greeley, CO 80634.
