Olga Margarita Pesantes, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 2, 1938, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Olga lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep sense of joy that touched all who knew her.

Known affectionately by many as Mami, Nana Margarita, and Mamita Margoth, she was a woman of remarkable character—loving, caring, honest, strong, and generous. Olga’s vibrant spirit was reflected in her love of dancing and her passionate enthusiasm for soccer. A devoted fan of Barcelona S.C, she proudly carried forward the legacy of her father, who once played for the club. Her fondness for the music of Julio Jaramillo and Don Medardo y sus Players also colored her life with rich cultural melodies and happy memories.

As a mother to five wonderful children— Carmen, Silvia, Bella, Jacqueline, and Luis —Olga nurtured a home filled with love and support. Her family grew to include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, among them Andres, Steven, Paola, Kevin, Michael, Bryan and Andrea. Following her great grandchildren Joffre, Jesus, Ariana, Jordi, Thiago, and Lian each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Olga’s enduring legacy is one of resilience and warmth, and her memory will forever be a blessing to those who were privileged to know her. She will be deeply missed yet lovingly remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.

A visitation in honor of Olga Margarita Pesantes will be held on June 22, 2026, from 4PM to 8PM at Advent Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 7211 US-29, Falls Church, VA 22046.

Funeral Mass will be held on June 23, 2026 at 10am in St. Anthony Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn Rd, Falls Church, VA 22041. Following Mass, burial will take place at Columbus Garden Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201. This gathering will offer loved ones an opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate a life well-lived.
