Colleen Mae Anderson
October 19, 1946 — February 9, 2018
“Well, if you are reading this you already know what happened to me. I fought the good fight since 2009 but it was time for me to go home to be with my Lord and Savior.” Colleen Mae Anderson was born October 19, 1946, in Tacoma, Washington, to Al and Charlotte Anderson who preceded her in death. Survived by Sisters Dorene Heath (Orval), Gayle Strait (Rick), Pam Pace (Steve, ex brother in law), many nieces and nephews, and a gazillion friends. She was raised in Tacoma, Washington, and moved to Oroville, California. in 1966 to live with her sister and brother in law. She moved to Chico in 1969 and for 43 years managed the ENT medical practices of Dr. Heithecker, et al until her retirement in 2010. She served as President of the Butte Glenn Medical Assistants for one term. With no family in the area, she looked to her many friends as her wonderful local family and was the friend everyone wished they had. Colleen will be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit, infectious laugh, movie reviews, firecracker personality, and having a ready story to tell. In lieu of flowers she would like any donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Durham Coliseum Project at durhamcoliseum.com.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 1:00 PM. Address: 1939 Durham Dayton Hwy Durham, California, 95938. Colleen’s request is you wear purple, her favorite color. Questions about the celebration can be answered by Loya
Merlo, 893-4500 or Sandy Miskella, 342-7995.
