Mena M Habil
August 21, 1979 — November 17, 2024
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” - Matthew 25:23
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord.” – Jeremiah 17:7
It is with deep sorrow, yet strong hope in the Resurrection, that we announce the passing of our beloved Mena Habil, who departed in the Lord at the age of 45 on the 17th day of November, surrounded by loved ones.
Mena was born on August 21, 1979 in Providence RI and lived his Life as a beloved son of the Heavenly Father in union with Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit.
He followed Jesus as a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church, where he experienced love, compassion, patience, and unwavering faith in Christ. His daily interests were listening to church services, vespers and other sacred melodies.
He will be remembered as the kind hearted, cheerful Loving Man of God. He always had a smile on his face and everyone enjoyed being in his presence. He was a loving family man and happy soul, who was kind and always smiling. His continued essence was an inspiration to others and his earthly life was an invitation from God to all who knew him to see the beauty in every soul.
He is survived by his beloved family. His parents, Makram and Vivian, and his younger sisters, Esther and Christine.
Though he has “fallen asleep”, through the eyes of faith we see that he is united with God and included in the “Great Cloud of witnesses”(Hebrews 12:1) with Saint Mary and all the saints, especially his friend Saint Mena, after whom he is named.
His loving presence exists eternally beyond the horizon of this earthly life.
And, as Our Faith Proclaims in the Apostles Creed, “We look for the Resurrection of the dead!”
May the Lord repose his soul in the bosom of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” - Matthew 25:23
“Behold I make all things New” - Revelation 21:5
“We look for the Resurrection of the dead, and the life of the coming age. Amen.” - The Apostles Creed
