Hildegard O'Halloran, Arvada, Colorado 80004. She passed away at Lutheran Hospital in Lakewood on May 4 due to heart-related issues.
She was born on June 11, 1943, in Paderborn, Germany, and was raised in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Upon graduating from the German education system in 1964, where she learned and became proficient in 2 other languages besides German (French and English), she was hired as a secretary in Brussels, Belgium, for a functionary of the Common Market, the predecessor to the European Union, where she worked for 2 years. She was then hired by Mercedes-Benz America and moved to New York City in 1966.
Her hobbies: She was a voracious reader and lover of classical music. She loved nature and hiking.
She met my father, George O'Halloran, on a skiing trip in Vermont in 1966, very early in her move to America, and they were married for 53 years until he passed away in 2019. They lived in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, until 1995, then moved to Colorado Springs.
They had 2 sons, Mike O'Halloran of East Hampton, Massachusetts, and Stephen O'Halloran of Arvada, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, George O'Halloran, her husband, and is survived by her 2 sons and an extensive group of nieces and nephews in Germany.
