JoAnn S. Humphrey

JoAnn Humphrey, 92, of Bailey passed away June 1 after a short illness.

JoAnn and her husband Jerry became residents of Bailey in 2003, moving to the area from Snohomish, Washington. JoAnn took over the directorship of the Widow’s Oil Pantry at the Harris Park Bible Church in 2013. She said it was the one thing that gave her life purpose, and she gave it up only after falling and breaking her hip at 90 years old. She rescued many senior dogs, giving them a loving home for the last years of their lives. She also loved gardening and watching all the birds and wildlife at her home in Harris Park. She adored all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed the time she got to spend with all of them.

She is survived by her daughter Debra Orecchio and son-in-law Steve Orecchio of Bailey, son Doug Humphrey of Boise, ID; daughter Diane Humphrey of Wellington; grandchildren Jonathan Orecchio, Keely Garrett, Alyssa Helm, Jennae Miler, Chris Miler, Lauren Miler, and Emily Langedyk; great grandchildren Owen, Reed, Evie, Maeve, Max, Maya, and Margot. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry.

She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on June 27 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at Harris Park Bible Church, 2257 Shelton Drive, Bailey.
